HRGS welcome both volunteers and members.
You do not have to be a member to volunteer or be a volunteer to be a member.
HRGS in June 2020 was one of four Kent recipients, to receive the coveted Queens Award for Voluntary Services, the equivalent to an MBE. In November 2019 won the Kent Volunteering 2019 Award for being ‘Top Club and Society Volunteer Team – Swale’, More information can be found on the Kent Volunteering Awards website.
Membership
Membership is for one year and starts from the date payment is accepted.
You can join via Membermojo or payment can be made via our shop. You can also set up a Standing Order with your bank.
Membership options are:
E-Member
Individual – one adult
Joint – two adults at the same address
Family – (1 adult and children under 18, living at the same address).
Family – (2 adults and children under 18, living at the same address).

- HRGS magazine “The Archive” (10 issues per year);
- Full members have free entrance to our regular history talks and E-Members are £2.00 per talk;
- access to HRGS library and records.
- Participate in archaeological digs, free to full members (£5 per day for E-Members and non-members).
