One of the newest projects that HRGS is undertaking is the cataloguing of clay tobacco pipes from the various digs conducted over the years in and around Sittingbourne.
By working with local mudlarkers, and other heritage groups, we hope to drawn together and analyse various collections.
Part of this project involves researching local pipe makers to discover more about the people making the pipes.
