25 April 2021 – Anzac Day – Swale Losses

Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance, held on the 25th April each year.

It was originally to honour the Australian and New Zealander Corps (ANZAC) who served in the Gallipoli Campaign in World War One, which was their first battle.

The Anzac Day has evolved to encompass all those “who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations” and “the contribution and suffering of all those who have served”, whilst in the Australian and New Zealand services.

This page remembers those who served in an Australian or New Zealand service, and have a connection with Swale.
