Owen, in his Britannica Depita, says, "one Norwood, a Kentish gentleman, feasted Henry V, at the Red Lion, Sittingbourn and the whole reckoning came but to 10 9s. 6d. wine being then sold for 1d. a pint, and other things proportionably cheap."  The entertainment given by Lord Romney to the King on the 1st inst. cost 5000l. at the least calculation.
